32.78 million people were in employment in September-November 2022. Employment was up 27,000 from the previous quarter and up 219,000 from the year before.
The employment rate (the proportion of the population aged 16-64 in work) was 75.6%, up from 75.4% a year previously. It was 72.2% for women, up from 72.1% a year previously; and for men was 79.0%, up from 78.8%.
24.58 million people were working full-time in September-November 2022 while 8.20 million were working part-time. 4.25 million were self-employed and 28.39 million people were working as employees.
