The Hutton Inquiry: publication and Commons consideration; and comparisons with other inquiries

This note reviews the publication arrangements of the report of the Hutton Inquiry, and how the report was considered in the House of Commons. By way of comparison, it reviews the responses to a selection of inquiries in the House of Commons. It provides some detail on the Scott report, including calls for a debate on a substantive motion, rather than on a motion for the adjournment.
