The President of Ukraine became the first world leader to address MPs in the House of Commons on 8 March 2022. Formal proceedings were suspended to allow Volodymyr Zelenskyy to speak to Members via video link from Kyiv. Members of the House of Lords were able to watch the address from the public gallery.
The most recent address by South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, on 22 November 2022 took place in the Royal Gallery of the House of Lords.
